scarce goods

A difficult situation often contains in our perception an aspect which is missing or which we are not getting enough of, e.g. time, money, support, possibilities, goodwill of others, own strength. The sensation of this scarcity creates in us a narrow, tense, stranded, needy  state. Why shouldn´t we apply in these situations the theory which says, that there is enough of everything we really need? E.g. if you are right now in total stress, since the tasks in front of you are too many for the time at hand, you might just try shortly the thought: “The time is sufficient for what I really need.”

What effects would this have on your experience and on your acting?
