Do you know that?: You meet an old friend and on the one hand you think, that he is still like he has been, and on the other hand, that you yourself have changed a lot ever since. Even with our day to day- encounters we like to assume that the other is still the same like yesterday. This assumption is not really thought through, but it brings us emotional security – like the ostrich principle: I just do not spend a closer look, then he’ll still be like he always was, and I know how best to behave.
