emergency talks

If we are in an outer or inner stress situation , we often change the way we communicate. For example, the tone turns aggressive or moaning, the message´s content is reduced, the ability to perceive limited or we start with loading up a pile of complaints on our counterpart. That’s all understandable, but not helpful for others and for ourselves.

Try to observe your communication behavior. How does it change when you are in need / in stress?

What you could replace the non-helpful approaches by?

How would it suit you and the situation, if you just say a brief self-revelation, for example, “I’m currently in stress, so I cannot … / so I need right now …”?

Would your tone then contain self-care and gentleness?
